WATER RESOURCES ADVISORY BOARD
AGENDA ITEM
MEETING DATE: August 17, 2009
AGENDA TITLE: Rescheduling of the Dec. 21, 2009 (possibly), Jan. 18, 2010, and
Feb. 15, 2010 Water Resources Advisor Board meetings.

SUMMARY:
The regularly scheduled dates for the Water Resource Advisory Board (WRAB) meetings of
December 21St 2009, January 18th 2010 and February 15'h 2010 will fall near or on federal
holidays. The City is closed to daily operations on the January and February holidays and thus it
becomes necessary to reschedule the meetings for January and February to other dates within
those months, and to reschedule the December meeting if WRAB so desires. The Board
Secretary's service to the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) as well as to the WRAB further
limits the available dates for rescheduling in all three months as TAB will have a regularly
scheduled meeting on December 101, January 11 th, and February 8th (unless the WRAB wants to
meet without the Board Secretary). WRAB members are asked to review the suggested dates
below prior to the August 17th 2009 regular meeting. The board members are further asked to
bring their calendars with them to the August meeting to discuss their availabilities and
preferences and to choose alternate dates for the January and February 2010 and possibly the
December 2009 meeting. The calendar showing the tentative regular agenda items for the
December and January meetings can be found elsewhere in this packet.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
- For December 2009, the two dates recommended as possible alternate meetings dates are
Monday, December 7th and Monday, December 28th. (Could do Monday, December
14, but without a Board Secretary)
- For January 2010 the two dates recommended as possible alternate meeting dates are
Monday, January 4th and Monday, January 25th. (Could do Monday, January 11, but
without a Board Secretary)
- For February 2009 the two dates recommended as possible alternate meeting dates are
Monday, February 1st and Monday, February 22°`t. (Could do Monday, February 8,
but without a Board Secretary)
If December 28t1i is chosen, it is recommended that the January meeting not be phlaced on January
4'h if there is an expectation of follow-up on any items discussed at the Dec. 28t meeting, as the
time between the meetings is too short to get information into the packet later that week.
Likewise, if January 25'h is chosen, it is recommended that the February meeting not be placed
on February I" if there is an expectation of follow-up on any items discussed at the January 25'11
meeting.
