I am writing regarding the property at 506 22nd St and the home owner John Griffith. There is hearing on
Wed Feb 3rd regarding the status of historic vs demolition. I am unable to attend the meeting so I am writing
as a concerned neighbor.
My name is Barbara Colombo and I am a neighbor directly across the street at 503 22nd St
I am in favor of demolition vs landmarking the building as historic as it is not a very attractive house and does
not seem to have any architectural historic significance as far as I can see.
I have owned my home for almost 2 years and there have been 3 different groups of renters which has added
some unwelcome energy in our neighborhood where there are several children living . The last tenants had
quite a negative impact on our street with multiple dogs, tra~c, and personality. I am in favor of a stable home
owner residing in the home which will hopefully be built to accommodate them!
I must admit it is hard to see trees coming down in great number, but I think it is a better alternative to have a
new home built on the lot then to preserve it as historical.
