I am a business owner in downtown Boulder and my office neighbors 1928 14a' Street. I have reviewed both designs of the west elevation and I am in favor of the design which aligns the upper floor windows with the storefront windows on the first floor. I believe that this design reflects the historic qualities of the surtounding buildings and provides an appropriate end-condition to the existing block. The proposed design integrates the historic horizontal building elements of its neighboring buildings. The proportion of the windows and the new two-story main level storefront brings the building back to a more traditional look and feel from the street and sidewalk. Overall, I feel that the proposed design is very appropriate for this particular building. The previous design with three separated windows is far less compelling and also less appropriate for this site. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, ~ ~ ~ltipd~ ~ L i ~~~'A
