Hi Chris,
I hope the New Year has started off on a good note for you. I am picking back up with the S00 Arapahoe file, and
I note that I need to give you a request for an extension of the landmarking on 800 Arapahoe. You had indicated
in your December 12 e-mail that you needed to receive that prior to the LPAB meeting tomorrow. Sorry for cutting
it so close on giving you this notice, but I am sure you were expecting this.
As you know, we were before the LPAB in early December to address the alley house issue, which has now been
resolved. We have also been working with Drexel Barrell and Tom Hand to address subdivision issues. I am
currently preparing a Pre-Application Submittal to obtain some feedback from staff on some issues we have
identified prior to our making a formal subdivision submittal.
The owners and Historic Boulder are also collaborating on a grant application for state funds to assist in the
preparation of a Historic Structure Assessment, and the owners are continuing to work on obtaining other
information they need in order to make a decision regarding a potential charitable gift of the Hannah Barker
House.
Inasmuch as this process will require additional time, please treat this a formal request to extend the landmark
hearing tor an additional 180 days so the owners can complete the City subdivision process and take all aspects
of this matter to Council in a single package.
Please let me know if you need anything further from me at this time.
Best regards,
Bruce
