RESOLUTION NO. _1108
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE GRANT APPLICATION OF THE LOCAL PARKS
AND OUTDOOR RECREATION FOR A PLANNING GRANT FROM THE STATE
BOARD OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO (GOCO) TRUST FUND FOR THE
BOULDER RESERVOIR SITE / MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder supports the Great Outdoors Colorado grant application for the
Boulder Reservoir Site Management Plan; and.
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder supports the development of the Boulder Reservoir Site
Management Plan; and.
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder has requested $75,000 from Great Outdoors Colorado to help
fund the development of the Boulder Reservoir Site Management Plan.;
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Boulder strongly
support the application and have appropriated matching funds for a grant with Great Outdoors
Colorado; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Boulder
authorize the expenditure of funds necessary to meet the terms and obligations of any Grant
awarded; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the project site is owned by the City of Boulder and will be
owned by the City of Boulder for the next 25 years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor and the city Council of the City of Boulder will
continue to maintain and operate the Boulder Reservoir in a high quality condition and will
appropriate funds for in the budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Boulder has the ability to complete this project
and has demonstrated this ability on a similar plan, Recreation Program and Facilities Plan,
completed in 2010; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution is to be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
