RESOLUTION NO. 1082
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE GRANT APPLICATION OF THE LOCAL PARKS
AND OUTDOOR RECREATION FOR A MINI GRANT FROM THE STATE BOARD
OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO (GOCO) TRUST FUND FOR VALMONT
BIKE PARK WAYFINDING AND SIGNAGE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder supports the Great Outdoors Colorado grant application for the
Valmont Bike Park Wayfmding and Signage Program; and.
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder has requested $45,000 from Great Outdoors Colorado to help
design, fabricate and implement the way finding and signage elements for the Valmont Bike
Park.;
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Boulder strongly
support the application and have appropriated matching funds for a grant with Great Outdoors
Colorado; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Boulder
authorize the expenditure of funds necessary to meet the terms and obligations of any Grant
awarded; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the project site is owned by the City of Boulder and will be
owned by the City of Boulder for the next 25 years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and the city Council of the City of Boulder will
continue to maintain the Valmont Bike Park and signage elements in a high quality condition and
will appropriate funds for in the budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the City of Boulder has the ability to complete this project
and has demonstrated this ability for over a dozen similar park projects completed in the last five
years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution is to be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
