Hi Mike,
Sure, we can give that a try.
I don’t know if this makes a difference, but I have had some injuries that have kept me off the
courts for over a year. I am finally signed up to play on Monday (yay!) and hope that all my
parts cooperate so I can keep playing. Just saying I am not the most diehard player these days,
but do love PB!
Best,

Hi Ali,
I appreciate all of the thought and work that is going into the court study!
Unfortunately, I am leaving town on Wednesday for a couple of days so won’t be available
for either the focus group or meeting.
Would you like the names of some of the other folks I play with that might be interested in
sharing their thoughts?
Looking forward to seeing what y’all learn and decide.
Best,

Hi
As I’ve shared with you, work is underway to develop a Tennis and Pickleball Court Study for the
Boulder Parks and Recreation Department. I thought of your balanced input, and would love to
request your input at an upcoming Focus Group so that the collective vision of the community
for tennis and pickleball courts in Boulder can be developed. In addition to the established
tennis and pickleball organizations in Boulder that will participate in their own focus groups, we
are reaching out to some self-organized players like yourself who are not affiliated with the
larger clubs to gather a wider perspective of players.
The City of Boulder has contracted with a consultant to conduct and develop this study and they
will be in town on October 4th to conduct interview in-person. Our consultants, Mike and
Kristina, are copied on this email to assist with scheduling. We are very excited to have PROS on
board as they did a fantastic job with our 2015 Aquatics Feasibility Study. Once we hear back
from most of you all, Mike and Kristina will email to you a calendar invite for the meeting.
Please respond to this email by MONDAY OCTOBER 2 with your two most preferred dates and
times from the list below. *
The focus groups will be conducted IN-PERSON at the parks and recreation offices, 3198
Broadway, and will last approximately 45 minutes to one hour..
Wednesday October 4th 9-9:50am
Wednesday October 4th 10-10:50am
Wednesday October 4th 11-11:50am
If you are unable to attend interviews on the morning of October 4, we hope you will still join us
for the public meeting that evening 6-7:30pm at the OSMP Hub Building, 2520 55th Street,
Boulder.
Thank you for your interest in Boulder Parks and Recreation. We are looking forward to hearing
back from you.
My best,
Ali Rhodes
