Meantime, these images are from right now: more than 60 people playing at CU South, ages 5 to 87. All displaced. No place to play. Praying they get a new home. What we recently shared with Gonzo Tennis is very similar to what I have shared with Kendall (of RMTC) since April and even in person at our meeting recently that you attended, . As I shared with you via email in April and in person when we met in June, there is the potential to construct a bubble at East Boulder Community Center next year if we are able to develop courts on the adjacent city property (the current parkland is too constrained) and if we determine it is feasible given that we do not having funding. I think we've shared this with you previously? If my memory is accurate, Matt, at that in-person meeting and as I explained the potential, you asked something along the lines of "really, you expect that the city will signal it might get involved in indoor tennis in June?" Through July-August, we expect to explore the viability of the development potential with rigor so that by September/this fall we can proceed accordingly with partnership consideration and construction documents if we determine to move forward. As I had noted in April, any management partnership will include a full competitive procurement process. We have a long-standing and successful partnership with Gonzo Tennis, and when that agreement reaches it term, our financial guidelines require that we issue a new RFP. Part of the evaluation of indoor operations include the delivery method – direct ourselves or through another partnership. If our analysis determines the best delivery model is through a partnership, the operation of a BPR court facility would be part of the next tennis instruction RFP. I hope this helps and feel free to reach out if you have any questions. (total aside, - great story in the NYT yesterday on teen drivers and AI; we're in the exact same boat with a 15-yo driver, Highlander and Tesla to boot so it was an intriguing read) Thank you, Ali Rhodes Director she/her O: 303-413-7249 rhodesa@bouldercolorado.gov Parks and Recreation 3198 N. Ali, This is , copying from BTA. I’m writing to clarify a rumor going around. A member of Gonzo’s staff told me that the Gonzo team had a conference call this week and were told that a four-court bubble is planned for East Boulder. The person seemed informed and involved. Can I clarify if this is the case? Can you provide further detail? Best,
