Since $150,000 is not usually sufficient to cover most pavement projects, the FAA and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) developed a sharing program where funds are pooled among a group of airports. With this program, an airport transfers its funds for a certain amount of years and then receives the total amount when the cycle repeats. Boulder Airport is currently on the following schedule: 2016 Transferred $150,000 to Akron Airport 2017 Transfer $150,000 to Rifle-Garfield County Airport 2018 Receive $300,000 for runway rehab design and carryover $150,000 to 2020 2019 Transfer $150,000 to Cortez Airport 2020 Receive $900,000 for runway rehabilitation Although the FAA addresses these letters to the mayor, they advised that either the city manager or mayor may sign as the authorized official. Please sign each of the 3 originals, allowing the transfer of funds to the Rifle-Garfield County Airport. Please ensure date is on or before the CAD's date. 0 U.S. Department Northwest Mountain Region Denver Airports District Office of Transportation Colorado • Idaho Montana Oregon • Utah 26805 E. 68th Ave., Suite 224 Federal Aviation Washington Wyoming Denver, CO 80249 Administration May 3, 2017 The Honorable Suzanne Jones, Mayor City of Boulder 1777 Broadway Boulder, Colorado 80302 Dear Mayor Jones: Enclosed are three copies of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) "Agreement For Transfer of Entitlements".
