A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOULDER ADOPTING THE 2022 BOULDER
HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN.
WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOULDER, COLORADO FINDS
AND RECITES THE FOLLOWING FACTS RELATED TO THE ADOPTION OF THE
BOULDER HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN:
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder, through its Boulder Office of Disaster Management,
has gathered information and prepared the 2022 – 2027 Boulder Hazard Mitigation
Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the 2022 – 2027 Boulder Hazard Mitigation Plan has been prepared
in accordance with FEMA requirements at 44 C.F.R. 201.6; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder is a local unit of government that has
afforded the citizens an opportunity to comment and provide input in the Plan and
the actions in the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boulder has reviewed the Plan and
affirms that the Plan will be updated no less than every five years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOULDER, COLORADO:
Section 1: The City of Boulder adopts the 2022 – 2027 Boulder Hazard Mitigation Plan
as this jurisdiction’s Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan, and resolves to execute the actions in
the Plan.
ADOPTED this 20th day of April, 2022 at the meeting of the Boulder City Council.
