A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE CITY OF BOULDER
UNIVERSITY HILL COMMERCIAL AREA MANAGEMENT
COMMISSION ALTERING ITS MEETING CALENDAR FROM
A MONTHLY MEETING TO A BI-MONTHLY MEETING
BEGINNING _____________________.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOULDER, COLORADO, ACTING AS
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE UNIVERSITY HILL COMMERCIAL AREA
MANAGEMENT COMMISSION, HEREBY FINDS AND RECITES, that:
WHEREAS, the mission of the University Hill Commercial Area Management Commission
(the “Commission”) is to serve as the advisory board on behalf of city council to make recommendation
to city council and city departments regarding parking issues and land acquisition and development for
parking needs in the district; and
WHEREAS, a bi-monthly meeting provides a more realistic timeline for staff supporting the
Commission to provide information and guidance to achieve actionable items towards priority projects
and work plans in a more effective and efficient manner; and
WHEREAS, a bi-monthly meeting facilitates a greater focus on the core mission of the
Commission to achieve fund financial health, capital project identification, asset management and
revenue generation, and the recommendation of an annual budget for the purposes of the health and
vitality of the district; and
WHEREAS, at the _________________ meeting of the University Hill Commercial Area
Management Commission, the Commission moved to accept this change.
WHEREAS, consideration of this change is governed by Section 8-4-10, “Advisory
Committee,” B.R.C. 1981, and such decision shall be made by city council acting as the board of
directors of the Commission; and
NOW THEREFORE, BASED ON THE FINDINGS MADE IN THIS
RESOLUTION, ABOVE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BOULDER, COLORADO, ACTING AS THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
UNIVERSITY HILL COMMERCIAL AREA MANAGEMENT COMMISSION, that:
Section 1. The Commission shall meet bi-monthly, once every other month, beginning
_________________, and continuing indefinitely or until the district is dissolved or the board
approves a subsequent change by resolution.
Section 2. The Commission may call a properly noticed special meeting at any other time
for the purposes of carrying out Commission business.
