I made a couple edits for this year’s applicants. Open to other thoughts too. Thanks!

Thanks John! Also, do you have a feel for when questions for city council’s retreat will be available?
It would be great for TAB if they could review at their November 14th meeting.
Regards,
Meredith

Subject: Transportation Advisory Board Application Questions
Good morning TAB folks,
It is that time of year to start preparing for the 2023 recruitment. Please let me know by December
5th, 2022 if you would like to update your questions and also let me know if there are any staff
changes. Thank you.
5. What are the most pressing transportation issues for the City of Boulder? What new
approaches could Boulder take to work with the business community, neighborhoods, and
interest groups to address these issues?
6. What personal experience do you have that can lend to the advancement of diversity, equity,
and inclusion on the board? What can we do differently to make transportation investments that
serve historically underserved community members? What will you bring towards elevating
voices of those who are underrepresented?
7. What is your assessment of how Boulder is doing against implementation of the Transportation
Master Plan (see, for example the 2020 Transportation Report on Progress) and what can be done
to improve performance?
8. How do you view the relationship between the goals of expanding mobility options and
electrifying transportation—for example the potential, priority, and interdependence among the
two?
9. As the cost to maintain existing infrastructure (maintenance) and build new infrastructure
increases (enhancements), and our funding sources (primarily sales tax) stay relatively flat, what
is your approach to continuing to meet our transportation goals while balancing the competing
needs for limited resources?
