Hearing Vacated
In response to the outbreak of COVID-19 (the "Novel Coronavirus") and effective immediately, limited non-essential
operations will be conducted in the 20th Judicial District through May 31, 2020. This is a non-essential matter, and in
accordance with the Chief Judge's directive, your matter must be continued to a new hearing date after May 31, 2020.
Therefore, your presently scheduled hearing date of May 1, 2020 is vacated.
Further, as this matter is presently under appeal to the Court of Appeals, the Court has determined to defer ruling on
Defendants' motions for attorney fees until resolution of the appeal. Upon the Court of Appeals' decision upholding the order
of dismissal, Defendants may contact the CJA for Division 5 and cause this matter to be reset for a hearing on the motions
for attorney fees. Upon the Court of Appeals' decision otherwise, the motions for attorney fees become moot.
