10 - Rescheduling of the 1/21/2008 and 2/18/2008 WRAB meetings

MEETING DATE: November 19, 2007
AGENDA TITLE: Rescheduling of the Jan. 21, 2008 and Feb. 18, 2008 Water
Resources Advisory Board meetings due to federal holiday conflicts.

SUMMARY:
The regularly scheduled dates for the Water Resource Advisory Board (WRAB) meetings
of January 21St 2008 and February 18th 2008 will fall on federal holidays. The City is
closed to daily operations on these holidays and thus it becomes necessary to reschedule
the meetings for January and February to other dates within those months. The fact of the
Board Secretary's service to the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) as well as to the
WRAB, further limits the available dates for rescheduling in January and February as
TAB will have a regularly scheduled meeting on both January 14th and February I I1h
(unless the WRAB wants to meet without the Board Secretary). The members of the
WRAB are asked to review the suggested dates below prior to the November 191h 2007
regular meeting. The board members are further asked to bring their calendars with them
to the November meeting in order to discuss their availabilities and preferences and to
choose alternate dates for the January and February 2008 meetings. The calendar
showing the tentative regular agenda items for Dec, Jan, Feb and March meetings may be
found elsewhere is this packet.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
- For January 2008 the two dates recommended as possible alternate meeting dates
are Monday, January 7th and Monday January 28tH.
- For February 2008 the two dates recommended as possible alternate meeting
dates are Monday, February 4th or Monday February 25th.
If January 28th is chosen, it is recommended that the February meeting not be placed on
the 4`h if there is an expectation of follow-up on any items discussed at the Jan. 28th
meeting, as the time between the meetings is too short to get information into the packet
later that week..
