and she hu put together a fl~er tha[ was d~stnbuted on the h~ll that talks about the consequences for lightmg fireworks and that owners
can be responsible for other persons I~ghtmg fireworks on [hev property Abrams asked for a copy of the fl~er Smrth sa~d she would
help dtstr~bute ~f needed Korbehck also sent mformat~on }n the Buff Bullehn about fireworks The pohce are addmg another officer
from lune 25 to July 5 specifically patrollmg for fireworks vwlations Stree[ expressed co~cern about fireworks las[mg longer than Juty
4`n Korbel~ck responded that th~s was the hme penod when there were the most compla~n[s and focused officer resources on these dates
Curtis pra~sed the fl~er Korbehck sa~d tha[ they will also target Goss Grove and Martm Acres w~th [he fl~er A large number of cars
were towed th~s month due to s[ree[ sweepmg after school was out for the year Korbelick reported that when the Buff Bulletm is sent
out before vacation nex[ year there wdl be mformahon regazdmg the "Street Sweep " The dates for Back to Schoo] block part~es are

AGENDA ITEM 6- Hdl Marketmg KorbeLck reported that the "Welcome Back Fes[rval" wdl occur on Fnday, August 27' The
format w~ll be s~milar to last years with a skateboard demonstration, booths on the h~ll and bands The bands w~ll be chosen th~s year by
pumng out a call for b~ds m the Colorado Da~ly so that bands can send m tapes There wdl be a group that selects the bands and a CD
fea[urmg a few of the songs from each of the bands may be made They are workmg wrth KBCO as a sponsor Th~s ~s more
econonucally feas~ble than gettmg well-known names to perform They wdl be playmg for only a couple of hours Thts proposal was
met wrth a posrtrve response Korbehck also spoke about givmg each freshman a CD welcommg them and promoUng the "Welcome
Back Festival° wh~ch m~ght mclude coupons Blackmer suggested usmg PDF files to download coupons, however Abrazns expressed
co~cem about sNdents takmg advantage by pnntmg out numerous coupons Sm~th sa~d that she d~dn't really thmk that the ma~onTy of
students would do [hat Korbehck reported that Homecommg subcomm~ttees are m place and workmg The mam changes are m the
parade route Tt has been di~wlt gettmg pertmts [o start the parade on campus A proposed stagmg area wdl be movmg azound Fama~d
F~eld, out to Euchd, to 14`h and down to 13`h and crossmg Broadway and endmg up on Norlm Quad wrth an awards ceremony and

Pennsylvama A couple of trees d~ddt make ~t through and he w~ll be gettmg a hold of the landscape arch~tect u those trees should be
under warranTy Smrth reported that [he flowers look awesome Curtis thanked Mayhew as well

AGENDA ITEM 9-Hdl Al6ance Update: Smith reported on the meetmg Sunday saymg she felt the neighborhood's biggest
wmplamt ~s they aze not sleepmg through [he mght She felt rt was well-worth spendmg the money to have a med~ator It is unknown
what the next steps wdl be The UHGID appomtment deadLne ~s July 2nd, wrth mternews on July 12 and the appomtrnent bemg dec~ded
on July 20`~ Sm~th took appl~cat~ons to the last All~ance meetmg and handed out several Abrams asked Smi[h ~f she felt that the boazd
should take achon on anythmg Smrth feels [hat everyone needs a break and hopes [hat a new d~rechon w~ll be m place soon Smrth
[alked w~th someone from QDOBA and they are gomg before the Plannmg Departrnen[ on June 30~', but w~ll not be apptymg for a hquor
hcense The plamm~g meeting for HAPA w~ll take place on July 1°' There are a lot of thmgs up m the a~r and decis~ons should be
made m the next few weeks Wmter shared that she felt [he Sunday meehng was good as rt was face to face mstead of through e-ma~Ps

AGENDA ITEM 10 -V~s~on Plan Update: Wm[er reported [ha[ she has talked to Tom Wooten and he has had calls from UnrversiTy
Hill res~dents H~s Power Pomt presentahon was not a finat report She remmded everyone that he ~s focusmg on redevelopment on the
HIll and not abou[ the busmess problems there There ~s a possibil~Ty for addrt~onal parkmg on [he h~ll One step would be a feasibd~ry
study to documen[ demand and to esnmate the mcrease m demand and revenue and what rt~s to takmg on buddmg a new parkmg
sWCture The next step would be to get fac[s on [he table on revenue and companng ~t to downtown Wmter refened [o the Update on
the PIIMA study and the~r recommendat~on for retazl uses She suggested checlung back to see ~f those aze the kmds of uses that are stdl
viable Wmter suggested loolnng at analyzmg the ne~ghborhood's companson of the H~ll [o Bourbon Street and gettmg
recommendat~ons on that The PUMA study covered a lazge range of thmgs mcludmg stratacom, s~gnage, etc and the area on busmess
recrmhnent Wmter sugges[ed focusmg m on that and worinng from a factual standpomt She feels that we need to examme where we
stand m compar~son to other dismcts as faz as I~quor I~censes and tha[ there probably ~s a pom[ where there are too many Wmters
ment~oned redevelopment and parkmg and what our role is m helpmg mdrndual property owners as far as the Ross Consulhng Study
Stree[ expressed concem that there has not been enough mformaGOn about the parkmg s[ruc[ure She would Lke to see an example
Abrams sa~d that the steps that Wmter wants to take are ~mportan[ and asked ~f C~ty staff will be ~espons~ble for complet~on of them
Wmter said she would hke to get feedback The parlang ~ssue depends on the bond market and obtammg fac[s and a feas~b~hty study
Curt~s suggested commg up with hard numbers He also asked [hat all of Wmter suexgest~ons be reflected m the mmu[es CuRis
