Introduction of Staff, Board, Management and Planning Assistance Team (MPAT), ~, Technical Team Members and the TSR Group Geden asked everyone to mtroduce themselves and introduchons were made azound the room. 2. Goals for the Charette Geden said the chazette was an opportucuty to mtroduce Board members to the technology that will be used to help make decisions for Valmont City Pazk. She added that today would be a discussion and brauistormmg session from wluch staff hoped to get mformal direction from the Boazd. From that direct~on staff would produce goals and a work plan for how to proceed with some of the issues m the next phases of development of Valmont. Geden saxd the word chazette is an azctutectural term meazung to solve problems relahng to azchitectural design The three components of a chazette aze to listen, env~sion and record Today's focus would be to hsten and envision wlule staff records what the Board wants to focus on. The next meetuig would be to work on the crearive piece. 3. Brief History of Valmont City Park Geden gave a synopsis of the lustory of Valmont City Pazk from the 1995 bond referendum to present day. She also spoke about development of the Partnerslup Process and Pohcy, prazne dog and wildhfe issues and the survey results and needs assessment. ~ ...-. 4. MPAT and the TSR Group - Coordinating the Project P"' '"~- Teresa Gnlls, Manager of MPAT, asked for a bnef moment of silence to recogmze Ricki Weiser who, unhl she passed away recently, was an envtronmental achvist m the Boulder commututy Gnlls mtroduced the MPAT members to the Boazd and staff. Jeff Smith, TSR Group, Inc. (TSR), a SpaUal Informahon and Digrtal Plaz~nmg firm kured to compile all mformahon mto usable digital tools, gave a bnef explanahon of the digital technology that was bemg used. He gave a demonstrahon of how the technology can be used to help wrth the design and platuung of Valmont City Pazk Smith showed mappmg of recent tree and shrub planhngs at VCP and said the technology could be used to pro~ect the size of those plantmgs m fuhxre years Proposed and actual prame dog bamers were also shown on the mapped azea. In addihon, Smith demonstrated the quick hme panoramic movie, a 360-degree panoramic photograpluc view of Valmont City Pazk. Gnlls sazd that MPAT wanted to use ttus oppornuuty to help Boazd members understand the mformahon and technology available to help make decisions and address issues that the Board has struggled wrth m the past. Kate Bernhazdt, Achng Supenntendent of Pazks Planrung and Construchon, responded to a request for an update on the Mountam Ocean buildmg She mformed the Board that the apprazsal ~,,,,, had been applied for and it would be a matter of whether Pazks and Recreahon can afford to buy ti~ the bmlding.
