Dear Board Members, I support regulations prowding access to all city bike paths for electnc bicycles As you are aware e-bikes, carts, and electnc assist vehicles for the handicapped have been around many years The e-bike has gone through a number of design interactions and marketing di~culties, but is now on the verge of successfully competing with other modes of transportation The most recent release of the Segway by Dean Kamens's company is further evidence of new frontiers for altematroe transportation ~r+. The city has expended significant capital dollars to create an altemative transportation ~,,,, infrastructure As a user and business man I see this system under utdized and inaccessible to a number of potential users, both for altemative transportation and recreation I can not see any reason why Boulder can not be a leader in promoting this alternatroe that is no less safe than pedal powered bicycles and tow traders Respectfully, ~ X. ~~~ Gordon K.
