My name is Rich Rice My wife (Lynn) and I have Lved here for the last 15 years I also own and am CEO
of a telecommunicauons consulting firm,(The Costwatch Consultmg Group, Inc ) which has been
headquartered m the ctty of Boulder for the Iast 12 years We have the blessmg of two healthy k~ds, both of
who have developed a passion for soccer over the years
The mtent of my letter u to urge you to strongly push for and advocate the completwn of the East Boulder
Commumty Park and the Valmont C~ry Park Our availabil~ty of soccer fields seems to be dwmdlmg by the
week 1'here ts no better mvestment from our commumty than to promote the k~ds that w~sh to participate
m sports, rather than look to alternate ophons.
Lastly, I would request that you look mto mvestmg m a fence to be put around Pleasant V iew F~elds The
Iack of conhnues to promote vandahsm and traffic ~ams, as the city will not open the pazkmg gates until
8 30 AM, so as not to damage the fields unhl the frost has melted A fence would greatly reduce the
backlog of lraffic while shll mamtauimg the field until playtune
