Boulder Abby Daniels.
Abby Daniels, 1915 Pine Street, spoke about her new position as Executive Director of
Historic Boulder.
Michele Bishop, 1705 Arapahoe Avenue, spoke in support of saving the building located at
1802 Canyon.
Jackie Deane, 1728 Grove, spoke in support of saving the building located at 1802 Canyon.
4. DISCUSSION OF LANDMARK ALTERATION AND DEMOLITION
APPLICATIONS ISSUED AND PENDING
J• Hewat said an application to landmazk the building at 1802 Canyon has been put on hold
until the building is moved. The developer has been asked to submit plans and a timeline to
staff regarding the move of the building.
Staff gave an update on the following landmark alteration and demolition applications issuedl

NOTE: THIS WAS ACTED ON AFTER SC WAS SUPPORTED BY THE BOARD AS
A HISTORIC DISTRICT. On a motion made by N. Kornblum, seconded by L. Rucker, the
Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board Landmarks Boazd recommended (5-0) to City Council
that the building and its site located at 700 16`h Street (HIS2006-00142) be designated as an
individual landmazk, adopting the August 2, 2006 staff inemorandum detailing the significance
criteria as findings of the board.
C. Public hearing and consideration of a recommendation to City Council regarding
designation of the properties at 700, 701, 704, 711, & 71616`" Street as a local historic
district (HIS2006-00147).
Board members were asked to reveal any ex-pane contacts they may have had on this item.

located at 553 Concord Avenue in the Mapleton Hill Historic District (HIS2006-
00114).

On a motion by T. Plass, seconded by L. Rucker, the Landmazks Preservation Advisory Board
conditionally approved (5-0) a Landmark Alteration Certificate for the application at 1116
Maxwell Avenue (HIS2006-00154), adopting the staff inemorandum dated August 2, 2006 as
findings of the board, subject to the following conditions of approval:
1) Tha[ the amount of masonry wall area to be dismantled be only that which is
absolutely necessary. During deconstruction the applicant shall seek guidance from
staff and one LPAB design professional regarding the level of deconstruction
required for the north elevation and southwest corner, as well as the middle of the east
elevation;
