The roll having been called, Chair T. Plass declared a quorum at 6:03 p.m. and the

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE JUNE 7, 2006 LANDMARKS
PRESERVATION ADVISORY BOARD MEETINGS
On a motion by L. Rucker, seconded by N. Kornblum, the Landmarks Preservation
Advisory Board approved (5-0) the minutes of the June 7, 2006 board meeting as amended.
3. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION FOR ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA
Joyce Davies, 4475 Laguna Place, representing Historic Boulder, Inc, spoke regarding their
application for historic district designation of 5 buildings on 16`h Street.
4. DISCUSSION OF LANDMARK ALTERATION AND DEMOLITION
APPLICATIONS ISSUED AND PENDING
Staff gave an update on the following landmark alteration and demolition applications issued
and pending:
3805 North Broadway, expires October 10`h, 2006
563 Arapahoe Avenue, expires October 10`h, 2006
2958 6`h Street, expires September 25`~, 2006
5. ACTION ITEM
A. Public hearing and consideration of the adoption of Design Guidelines for the University
Place His[oric District as administrative regulation of the Landmarks Preservation
Advisory Board.

6. MATTERS FROM THE LAl~iDMARKS BOARD, PLANNING DEPARTMENT, AND
CITY ATTORNEY
Review of proposed revisions to the Landmark Alteration Certificate appiication.
Review of the Boulder Valley Public School Educational Facilities Master Plan and
historic re-survey of Casey Middle Schooi. ~
Discussed potential items for the August 16`" Retreat F~ _
Discussed a tentative date of October 26~' for a joint meeting with Planning Board
Discussed the topics regarding a joint meeting with the City Council
The board was given a Section 106 consultation request regarding the Raybeck Property
CHS is holding commission training in September 15~' .:
