RESOLUTION NO. 893
A RESOLUT[ON EXCLUDING ANNEXED PROPERTIES FROM
THE BOULDER RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City ofBoulder has annexed certain territory, which territory was formerly
provided with fire protection by the Boulder Rural Fire Protection District ("DistricY'); and
WHEREAS, the City can provide fire protection to that territory; and
WHCREAS, the City is presently providing such protection, and has done so since each
parcel was annexed; and
WHEREAS, the District will not be harmed by exclusion of that terriYory from its
jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the owners of that territory will be harmed by paying property Yases to both the
City and the District for the same fire protection services.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Boulder, that the City
of Boulder, Colorado, provide fire protection service to the territory specified in Exhibit A, which
service had been provided by the Boulder Rural Fire Protection District. Because this proteetion is
ah•eady being provided, this resolution will necessarily be, and continue to be, effective on January
1, 2002.
ADOPTED this 4"' day of December, 2001.
