A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF
THE CITY OF BOULDER ON NOVEMBER 6, 2001 DESIGNATING THE
MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL CANVASSING AND ELECTION BOARD; AND
SETTING FORTH DETAILS IN RELATION THERETO.
WHEREAS, Section 32 of the Charter of the City of Boulder provides that the city
Council shall constitute the General Canvassing and Election Board and shall meet and duly
canvass the election returns, and if at any time the number of Council Members eligible to
serve on the General Canvassing and Election Board be less than five, it shall be the duty of
the City Council at a regular meeting prior to the day of election, by resolution duly entered on
its records, to designate a sufficient number of qualified electors, and not candidates at such
election, to sit with the eligible members of the Council on such board so that said board in
sitting shall never consist of less than five; and
WHEREAS, it appears that five members of the City Council will be eligible to attend
the meeting of the General Canvassing and Election Board and serve as members thereof on
November 13, 2001, as provided by Section 32 of the Charter of the City of Boulder, but that
to deal with any emergency the Council wishes to have one additional member;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCTL OF THE CITY OF
BOULDER COLORADO THAT:
The following electors qualified to vote at the general municipal election on November 6, 2001
are hereby designated to serve as members of the General Canvassing and Election Board for
the November 6th General Municipal Election. The Board will convene November 13, 2001
at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 1777 Broadway, Boulder,
Colorado:
Dan Corson,
Spense Havlick,
B.J. Miller
Lisa Morzel,
Rich Lopez,
Francoise Poinsatte.
ADOPTED this 16`h day of October, 2001.
