A RESOLUTION EXCLUDING ANNEXED PROPERTIES FROM
THE BOULDER RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, tha City of Boulder has annexed certain territory, which territory was formerly
provided with fire proCection by the BouIder Rural Fire Protection District ("DistricY');
WHEREAS, the City can provide fire protection to that territory;
WHEREAS, the City is presently providing such protection, and has done so since each
parcel was annexed;
WHEREAS, the District wi ll not be harmed by exclusion of that territory from ifs jurisdiction;
and
WHEREAS, the owners of that territory will be harmed by paying property faxes Yo both fhe
City and the District for fhe same fire protecfion services.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Boulder, Yhat the City
of Boulder, Colorado, provide fire protection service to the territory specified in Exhibit A, which
service had been provided By the Boulder Rural Fire Protection District. Because this protection is
already being provided, this resoluCion will necessarily be, and continue to be, effective on January
1, 2003.
