RESOLUTION NO. 8(i6
A RESOLUTION ~XCLUDING ANNEXED PROPERTIES FROM
THE BOULDER RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder has annexed certain YerriYory, which territory was formerly
provided with fire protection by the Boulder Rural Fire Protection District; and
WH~R~AS, the City can provide fire protection to that territory; and
WHEREAS, the City is presently providing such protection, and has done so since each
parcel was annexed; and
WHEREAS, the District will not be harmed by exclusion of that territory from its
jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the owners of that territory will be hanned by paying property tases to both the
City and the District for the same fire protection services.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Boulder, that the City
of Boulder, Colorado provide fire protection service to the Yerritory specified in Exhibit A, whieh
seivice had been provided by the Boulder Rural Fire Protection District. Because this protection is
already being provided, this resolution will necessarily be, and continue to be, effective on January
1, 2001.
