A RESOLUTION EXCLUDING AN ANNEXED PROPERTY FROM
THE BOULDER RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder has annexed certain territory, whicb territory was formerly
provided with fire protection by the Boulder Rural Fire Protection District ("DistricY');
WHEREAS, the City can provide fire protection to that territory;
WHEREAS, the City is presently providing such protection, and has done so since the parcel
was annexed;
WHEREAS, the District will not be harmed by exclusion of that temtory from its jurisdiction;
and
WHEREAS, the owner of that tenitory will be harmed by paying property taxes to both the
City and the District for the same fire protection services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOULDER, COLORADO, that:
Section 1. The City of Boulder, Colorado, will provide fire protection service to the territory
specified in Exhibit A, which service had previously been provided by the Boulder Rural Fire
Protection District. Because this protection is already being provided, this resolution will necessarily
be, and continue to be, effective on January 1, 2007.
