A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LAW ENFORCEMENT
ASSISTANCE FUND (I.EAF) GRANT CONTRACT #IA6-08
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder, on behalf of the Boulder Police Depaztment, has submitted
an application to the Colorado Department of Transpor[ation, Office of Transportation Safety for
funding a project for a LEAF project for the enforcement of laws pertaining to the driving under the
influence of alcohol or other drugs, pursuant to §43-4-401 through 404, C.R.S. and to LEAF Rules at
2CCR 602.1; and
WHEREAS, the State has approved an application and has prepared a L.EAF Contract which
provides for the payment of $50,000 to the City of Boulder; and
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder has the authority and responsibility to fund the Boulder
Police Department and to enter into contracts on behalf of the Boulder Police Department; and
WHEREAS, a resoluuon by [he City of Boulder formally approving the I.EAF Contrac[, and
authorizing the proper signature to be affixed to the Contract indicating such approval is required by
the State of Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, the City of Boulder hereby approves the term,
condi[ions and obligations of the I,EAF Contract #IA6-08, and hereby authorizes the City Manager
to sign the Contract on behalf of the City of Boulder.
