HomeMy WebLinkAbout976 - ACCEPTING the City of Boulder's 2004 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report & Independent AudiRESOLUTION NO. q76 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CITY OF BOULDER'S 2004 COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT AND INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S 2004 MANAGEMENT LETTER, INCLUDING STAFF RESPONSES THERETO WHEREAS, Sections 12 and 105 of the Charter and Chapter 2-2-7 B.R.C., 1981, require the City Council, by resolution, to appoint an auditor, who is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in the State of Colorado and is well informed regarding govemmental accounting and auditing; and WHEREAS, the auditor is required to make a thorough and complete examination and audit of all the financial accounts of the City and report and make recommendations regarding the results of that examination; and WHEREAS, based upon review of the 2004 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Independent Auditor's Management Letter and staff responses thereto, and discussions with City staff and Swanhorst & Company LLC, the City's Independent Auditor, the City Council Audit and Finance Committee recommends that City Council officially accept the: . 2004 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, and • 2004 Independent Auditor's Management Letter, including staff responses thereto NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOULDER, COLORADO, HEREBY ACCEPTS THE 2004 COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT AND 2004 INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S MANAGEMENT LETTER, INCLUDING STAFF RESPONSES THERETO.
