A RESOLUTION OF THE BOULDER CITY COUNCIL AGREEING TO
ACT AS A REVIEWING ENTITY FOR THE STATE INCOME TAX
CREDIT PROGRAM FOR QUALIFYING RF.HABILITATION
PROJECTS UNDER COLORADO HOUSE BILL 90-1033 (C.R.S. § 39-22-
Sla, AS AMENDED)
WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservahon Adv~soiy Board and the City Council support the
creation of mcenhves to assist m the preservahon and protechon of histoncally sigmficant
resources,and
WHEREAS, Colarado House Bil190-1033 (C R S§ 39-22-514, as amended) was signed into
law Apnl 20,199Q establ~shmg tax credits for historic structures throughout the state; and
WHEI2EAS, Boulder, as a Cerhfied Local Government smce 1985, pursuant to the provis~ons of
16 U S C§ 470(a)(c)(1), as amended, is ehgible to review such rehabilrtahon tax credrt pro~ecYs
as a reviewmg entity as defined by C R S. § 39-22-514 (12)(a); and
WH~REAS, the provisions of C R S§ 39-22-514(10)(a) requ~re that each Certified Local
Government adopt anmially a resoluhon statmg whether such Certified Local Government will
act as a rev~ewmg entity dunng the followmg twelve (12) months, and
WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board, as the Crty of Boulder's official
revicw board far historic resources, endorses rehabilitahon pro~ect rev~ews at the local level,
which provide an mcreascd level of preservahon service to our commumty
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF
BOULDER,COLORADO
The Crty of Boulder, through the Landmarks Preservat~on Advisory Board, hereby agrees to act
as a reviewmg entity far the purposes of C R.S. § 39-22-514(3) and (6), for calendar year 2004.
The Crty will mamt~m the "preservahon fund" as required by C R S§ 39-22-514(11)(b), For use
m admmistenng the program and to provide mformation and education to the commumty wrthm
the context of historic preservation.
