A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LAW ENFORCEMENT
ASSISTANCE FUND (LEAF) GRANT CONTRACT #L-07-04
WHSREAS, Che City of Boulder, on behalf of the Bo~ilder Police Depaitment, has submttted
an applicaUon to the Colotado Depaitmcnt of Transpoitahon, Ofhce of Tianspoitation Safety foi
fundmg a pio~ect tor a LEAF pio~ect foi the entorcemenC of laws peitammg to the drivmg undci the
influence ot alcohol oi other diugs, purtiuant to §43-4-401 through 404, C.R S and lo LEAF Rulcs at
2CCR 602 1, and
WHEREAS, the State has appiovcd an applicahon and has piepared a LEAF Contiact which
piovides tor the payment of $50,000 to the Ciry of Boulder, and
WHEREAS, the City ot Botiildci has the authoury and responsibility to Yund the Bouldei
Police Department and to entei mto contract~ on behalf of the Bouldei Pol~ce Depaitment; and
WHEREAS, a iceolution by the City of Bouldei formally approving the LE+AF Contract, and
authori~mg thc pioper signature to be athxed to the Contract mdicaUng euch appioval is iequued by
the State of Coloiado
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Bouldei heicby appioves the term,
condilions and obligattons of the LEAF Conti act #L-10-02, and heieby authouzes the City Manager
Co sign the Contract on behalf of thc City of Bouldei
