A RESOLUTION CONCERNING TH$ GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF THE
CITY OF BOULDER ON NOVEMBER 4, 2003 DESIGNATING THE MEMBERS OF
THE GENERAL CANVASSING AND ELECTION BOARD; AND SETTING FORTH
D~TATLS IN RELATION THERETO
WHEREAS, Section 32 oTthe Charter of the Crty of Bouldei ptovides that the city
Council shall constitute the Gcneral Canvassmg and Election Board ai~d shall meet and duly
canvass the elechon returns, and if at any time ihe number of Council Members ehgible to serve
on the General Canvassmg and Election Board be less than five, iY shall be the duty of the City
Council at a regular meetmg prior to the day of election, by resoluhon duly entered on its rccords,
to designate a suffiment mimber of qualified electors, and not candidates at such elechon, to sit
with the eligible mcmbeis of the Council on such boud so that said board m srttmg shall nevei
consist of less than five, and
WHER~AS, it appears that five men2bers of the City Council wtll be elig~ble to attend the
meetmg of the General Canvassmg and Election Boatd and serve as membets thereof on
November 18, 2003, as provided by Section 32 of the Charter of the City of Boulder, but that to
dcal with any emeigency the Council wishes Yo have one additional member,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOULDER COLORADO THAT
Thc following electors quahfied to vote at the general muructpal elecrion on November 4, 2003
are hereby destgnated to seive as members of the General Canvassmg and Elechon Board for the
November 4th General Mumcipal Election The Board will comene November 18, 2003 at10 00
a m m the C~ty Council Chambeis, Mumcipal Buildmg, 1777 Broadway, Boulder, Colorado
Dan Coison, Tom Eldrtdge, L~sa Moizel, Fiancoise Pomsatte, Gordon Riggle, William Toor aud
Richard Lopez
