RESOLUTION NO. 1023
A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT
FOR AMENDMENT NO.1 TO
HOME CONSORTIUM INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the United States Government, through the National Affordable
Housing Act of 1930, has established the HOME Investment Partnerships Act Program
("HOME" or "HOME Program"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder, the City of Longmont, the City and County of
Broomfield, and Boulder County ("HOME Consortium") entered into a HOME
Consortium Intergovernmental Agreement ("Intergovernmental AgreemenY') dated June
27, 2006, to bring additional funds to the region for the purpose of expansion and
rehabilitation of the supply of decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing and to
suengthen partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector; and
WHEREAS, HUD Notice CPD 07-04 issued June 12, 2007, requires [hat the
HOME Consortium amend its Intergovernmental Agreement to add incorporated cities
and towns by name to the HOME Consortium;
WHEREAS, participation in the HOME Consortium will enhance cooperation
between jurisdictions and will maximize the use of resources available to local
governments to affect the housing-related problems of lower-income people; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of Boulder, Colorado
authorizes the City Manager to sign Amendment No. 1 to HOME Consortium
Intergovemmental Agreement, in substantially the same form now before the City
Council.
