A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE FIRM OF
SWANHORST & CUTLER, LLC TO EXAMINE THE
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF
BOULDER FOR THE 2004 FISCAL YEAR WITH AN
OPTION TO RETAIN THE SAME FIRM TO
PERFORM THE INDENDENT AUDIT FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2005
WHEREAS, Sections 12 and 105 of the Charter and Chapter 2-2-7 B.R,C , 1481,
require the Crty Council, by resolution, to appoint an auditor, who is a certified public
accountant licensed to practice in the State of Colorado and is well informed regazd~ng
governmental accounhng and audihng, and
WHEREAS, the audrtor ~s required to make a thorough and complete examination
and audit of all the financial accounts of the City and report and make recommendations
regazding the results of that exanunation, and
WHEREAS, wrth the concurrence of the City Council Audit and Finance
Committee, staff has recommended the firm of Swanhorst & Cutler LLC.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOULDER, COLORADO, HEREBY APPOINTS THE FIRM
SWANHORST & CUTLER LLC TO PERFORM THE ANNUAL AUDIT OF THE
CITY RECORDS FOR THE 2004 FISCAL YEAR, WITH AN OPTION ON THE
PART OF THE CITY TO RETAIN SWANHORST & CUTLER LLC TO
PERFQRM THE 2005 INDEPENDENT AUDIT AS WELL.
